What is LOTO Safety?
LOTO Safety refers to the practice of locking and tagging the energy sources of machines or equipment before maintenance or repair work begins. The process involves two key steps：
Lockout： This is the physical locking of energy-isolating devices, such as switches, valves, or circuit breakers, to prevent the release of hazardous energy (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic) during maintenance.
Tagout： This involves placing a warning tag on the locked device to inform others that maintenance work is being performed and the machine should not be operated.
